Lara's Biography
Ms. Lara Pearson earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law. Lara moved from Boston, Massachusetts to Incline Village, Nevada in the Autumn of 1998. During 1998 and 1999, Lara was a legal intern to the Honorable Justice Miriam Shearing of the Nevada Supreme Court, and for the Nevada State Public Defender, after which Lara worked at a Reno law firm, where she exclusively practiced intellectual property law.
Lara founded the Law Office of Lara Pearson, Ltd. (“LOLP”) in July, 2002 in order to combine her passions for healthy & sustainable living, live music, and the great outdoors with her passion for practicing intellectual property law.
Lara serves as the Secretary of the Board of 1% for the Planet®, a world-wide non-profit association of businesses each of which donates at least 1% of its annual revenue to protecting the natural environment. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Rock the Earth®, a national public interest environmental advocacy organization that protects and defends America's natural resources through partnerships with the music industry and the world-wide environmental community. LOLP encourages community service and Lara is quite active in this regard.
